Tamara grew up on the island of Maui, Hawaii but came to Los Angeles for college at Loyola Marymount University where she earned her degree in Dance + Communication. Tamara went on to pursue her love of teaching dance and opened up her own children's dance studio, but in 2014 she realised a passion for wedding planning after her own wedding in her hometown of Maui. Shortly after her and her husband got married, their wedding photographer, Candice Benjamin, suggested connecting with Jen, Owner of First Pick Planning and Tamara has been with First Pick ever since. She takes prides in listening to her clients needs as she knows first hand the importance a wedding planner can play for a couple on their wedding day. Having had a less than favorable experience working with her own wedding planner in Hawaii (not First Pick Planning!), Tamara takes pride in being a strong  advocate for her clients wishes to ensure the best possible day for her couples.

 

When Tamara isn't planning weddings, she is spending time with her husband and beautiful twin girls, Ainsley and Harper, born in September 2016.
